Haven't seen one lately myself but the ones that were about when the game was release in the UK were of decent length and advertised it as a movie, even with that weird deep voiced movie voice over guy.

I've seen it many times. Since the game came out, and a few days b4 it came out actually. It's pretty crappy, doesn't tell gamers much about the game at all....

I've seen more ads for MGS4 than I have any game this generation. That's probably just a coincidence, but it's received heavy, heavy marketing.

The fact that the game's been out for over a month and they're still advertising it shoudl prove to you that it's got an enormous marketing budget.

I rarely see any video games in commercials the only ones I can remember ever seeing is Halo 3 and Gears of War

Really? I saw some more for GTA than this. I've about 3 ads for this.

That's why I said "probably just a coincidence," but I've had this discussion about MGS4 marketing on another board.

We're not going to be able to break it down in some mathematical manner, but it's fair to say that MGS4 GTA IV have had the largest television marketing campaigns in America this year.

Don't forget that MGS4 is also featured heavily on that Playstation 3 commercial (which features LBP, MGS4 and GT5:P). It's also in the older "morphing black" PS3 ads.
