No offense, but I don't think this opinion will hold up a few years after you stop being twelve years old...

now now Goose, that's not necessarily true. I loved Transformers when I was 12, and that show is still the best ever. He could grow out of it that's true, but just as easily as you could grow out of your favorite show in a few years, it's just the way things go.

Geez, don't take it so seriously. It wasn't meant as an insult, it's just likely that you haven't lived long enough to be exposed to and grow an appreciation for all the amazing art that is out there. I find that people who cling furiously to one thing as their absolute "favorite" tend to be more likely to overlook materials that might otherwise be interesting.

Actually, I don't plan on stopping beng 12 until my 15th Birthday :P.

I wasn't referring specifically to anime, and I'm not sure why you're suddenly insulting anime as a whole.  Avatar isn't really "anime" in any case, being of American origin.

The fact that you use Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh as your "examples" of anime simply proves my point.  Go watch Future Boy Conan and then come back and tell me that it is "just a bunch of crack-spawned demons from Japan".  Or if you want a less significant time commitment, watch Grave of the Fireflies.  These are works of virtue and significance, not kid's shows designed to sell a product.
