Apparently they're working on new movies. According to wikipedia, "On September 9, 2006, Gainax confirmed a new animated film series called Rebuild of Evangelion, consisting of four movies to be released in 2007 and 2008. The first three movies will be an alternate retelling of the TV series (including new scenes, settings, backgrounds, characters), and the fourth movie will be a completely new conclusion to the story." So another chance for more interesting story or could take a down turn. I guess we'll see.

Oh for gods sake..it's like Evangelion was created by George Lucas.

 


Pretty much. Gainax are really whoring the Evengelion name out, but like I said the series is the definitive version. It is also worth noting that Anno hates the fact that EVA has been whored out like this and was very uneasy about the whole Rei the "premium girl" thing. This comes out quite alot in The end of Evangelion, which is really just a critiscism of anime culture.

Talking about Gainax their curent show Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagann is awesome.


 You should try the Evangelion games they were out, it's really hard to describe them.

I like many animes of all type but i love the animes with mechas and great tech, my favorite anime can be ghost in the shell.

is a cool anime, i have not seen it complete still, but i see "full metal panic? fumoffu" complete, is a very cool anime, very funny XD.

The first anime that i watched, that really got me liking the whole anime thing, is Outlaw Star. That along with the Dragon Ball series were awesome. Now though, i'd say that Bleach has really got my interest.
