Forums - Sales - Anyone else noticing a lot of Wiis easily available in stores?

I have not seen a Wii in a store since I purchased mine last year. I have many friends and relatives that look for them and simply cannot find any within a 100 mile radius of here.

Actually the last 2 times I've been to Target, I've seen a few wii's both times. The first time, the sales guy as he was getting one for a customer said they normally sell out by morning but they still had a bunch this time and expected to sell the rest soon.

The 2nd time I saw 3 or so in the case and was surprised. No idea when shipment was.

We had Wiis from Tuesday to Saturday morning. It was the record for how long we have had them in stock. Still, if anyone wants to say that they are selling poorly, we sold no 360 this week and at most 1 Ps3. We sold 14 Wii consoles. Sales have slowed down, but they don't stay on the shelf forever.

Aside from the time I bought my Wii in February (at Walmart, I walked in just as they were unloading a new shipment) I've seen a Wii once, it was a single Wii at a Walmart in late February. Before and since then I haven't seen any.

This thread was started in June? Wasn't that the month Nintendo sold crazy amounts of Wii in Canada?

I've never seen a Wii, but I only go to a store that would sell them maybe twice a month. Well, really, I've seen twenty Wiis-- all on launch night.

twesterm,
Ever since March the Wii has been well in stock all over Europe (with just a few intermittant blackouts in the UK, judging by my regular checks on amazon.co.uk, amazon.fr and amazon.de), so you can believe what parokki and robjoh said. I've seen them here in Berlin, too.

Hardcore gaming is a bubble economy blown up by Microsoft's $7 $6 billion losses.

Aah this thread is complete, we have the leo-j comment and the CK comment...and wait...wth??? CK responded after making his comment?  Thats a new trend....

Kidding aside, I go to walmart twice a week every week and never (as in not ever) have I seen a Wii in stock.  It was only march or so when the Wii-Motes and nunchuks started staying in stock and thankfully they are in stock constantly now.  But most buy Wii-Play for an extra wii-mote anyways.

To Each Man, Responsibility

I live here in Northeast Ohio, and I have yet to see any wii's since they came out. In fact just last week at my local Best Buy, I called up just to see if they had any, I got mine the day it came out. The employee told me that they had 12 Wii's and 15 people waiting outside. That is crazy.

Ok, tri-state area...... Maryland- nothing. East WV- Guys from DC must come up and steal them, i havent seen one in the stores for months, Northern Virginia- so low it would take a miracle to get one there.

Nintendo fan, though i also like the PS1-era Sony

Sales Predictions (+-.5mil) at end of fiscal 2007

Wii- 23 million- Brawl will hopefully make it higher.
360-20 million- GTA IV's release date will be a big factor
PS3- 12 million- Same as 360, MGS4 also big factor

We have had them for a few weeks now, local game stores have giant signs outside saying they have them in stock, but this only happened just recenently, we were sold out for a while

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Proud supporter of all 3 console companys

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.
