Forums - Microsoft - Did any sense of "patriotism" play a role in you buying an Xbox 360?

Hell no.

Well I wanted to buy one because I thought it was Microsoft's 360th console.... Playstation was just at number 3...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

no cause im mexican :)

100% Mexican Power

Yes, I felt that it was my patriotic duty to buy a Microsoft console. Nevermind the fact that my 360 is hooked up to a Samsung television. Nevermind that I plan to play Dead Rising on it when I get home tonight. Nevermind that I'll drive home in my Honda. I am a Patriot.

Go USA.

Nope, $199 refurbished unit bought because it was below the "Stupid" threshold.

Was it a core? That's a pretty good price, where did you find it?

It was a 20GB priemium (about) a year ago from Tiger Direct ... It's (obviously) a RROD repair but I haven't had a problem with it yet

I, for one, bought it for America.

LOL, no. As Microsoft is a multinational corporation, it would be hard to support them out of patriotism.

I bought it for my favorite American!!

me.

Does RPG love count as patriotism?

I don't think your going to find many gamers that buy a system due to where the company HQ is (after all, the components are being made in Taiwan and assembled in China). Furthermore, most consoles are bought by younger people, and they have no sense of actual patriotism.

Maybe Microsoft should change the name to FreedomBox360?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

The 360 sells well in America because its games appeal to Americans, not the faceless company that created it.
