Forums - General - I met a girl... but I don't know how to spell the name...

I met a girl in the mall. She works in a piercing shop. I talked to her, and she told me her name, but I don't think that's an english name.

Friends of her call her RB or r.b.... and the name is something like Arberie, arbenny, arbanny... I know my english is limited, but I know I heard that name.

Can anyone give me some suggestions?

hehe that's why I thought at first, but no =(

Hmmm, this is a tough situation. You can ask one of her friends at work, but that could backfire.

You're best bet is to ask where her name comes from (country of origin, ethnicity, etc.), and how exactly you spell it. She may or may not be interested in the question (chances are she will), but at least you don't look like a douche asking it since it seems to be a thoughtful question.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

She has a very pretty face to be a man. =p

Aberne is a boy's name. If that's the name you're thinking of, here are some suggestions:

Are you SURE it is not a man?

Ask for her e-mail address too, so that we can send her a link to this thread.
