These games probably will boost sales.
What have Wii till the end of 2009? Only few games.

Your predictions of games having a big impact on hardware sales hasn't really proven to be all that accurate in the past ...

Beyond that you're not taking into account the Christmas period, and last year from September 30th to December 29th the Nintendo DS outsold the PS3 and XBox 360 combined by 4.3 Million units; if the Wii has adequate supply it could easily make up a couple million units over Christmas.

i expect it would mean more focus on Wii games from majour developers, other than that it wont have much effect, the PS3 and 360 are still selling well enough to be viable for games publishers and designers

This "360 and PS3 are viable" argument is thrown around a lot, but I'm not that sure.

If you look at the financial results of developers, many of them are having a hard time. The big sharks which own huge franchises can do good business on the PS3 and 360 (especially if they receive money from MS/Sony), but many developers just can't afford it. Development budgets increased too fast since the last generation. Making games on the Wii doesn't guarantee profit, of course, but it does reduce the risk a lot.

@ameratsu: PSN/XBLA games are less risky, but also have a smaller userbase and smaller revenue. I agree that they're a good way to hedge your bets though.

The PS360 force will travel back in time and destroy all Wiis that have been sold prior to that date before they are sold and Will will drop to 0% resulting in a sure fire win for the HD consoles in the console wars. Or at least I think that's what many analysts expect to happen.

Absolutely nothing will happen. Generally speaking, third parties have already shown that they are dead set on ignoring the Wii, no matter how profitable it may be to develop for them.
