What will happen when/if the Wii reaches 50% or more marketshare?

This "360 and PS3 are viable" argument is thrown around a lot, but I'm not that sure.

If you look at the financial results of developers, many of them are having a hard time. The big sharks which own huge franchises can do good business on the PS3 and 360 (especially if they receive money from MS/Sony), but many developers just can't afford it. Development budgets increased too fast since the last generation. Making games on the Wii doesn't guarantee profit, of course, but it does reduce the risk a lot.
