I got it for $20 used at Gamestop. It's not terrible but definetely not good.
Lair came straight from hell. Must be one of the worse things on this planet
I deeply regret that i bought it and i think that not even trophies will get this crap inside my beautiful console again. Only reason it's still in one piece is that my cousin might buy it when he gets a ps3. If he changes his mind i don't care, i'm giving it away for free, maybe he'll do me a favor someday, or try to kill me.

Yes, it is, and not really. The story is OK, I guess, but the voice acting is pretty bad which spoils it to some degree. The "monologues" at the beginning of each stage are interesting but that's about it. Every thing I saw was pretty much cliche.

I don't see anything about the background's graphics in that statement, so it seems like you're the one who can't read, or rather, you're only interpreting it how you like
Don't Worry. factor 5 is now working for Nintendo again. I think the next game (wii ikarus) will be AAA-Title :)
as a very big fan of Panzer Dragoon1/2/Saga I was severly disappointed by Lair aswell..
I played the demo they have at the hong kong store and the controls just felt like they are trying to make the game annoying and unfun 
.. graphically it's quite nice though
