last night i went onto burnout and on the news section the game states there is 777,600 burnout players.

=67k approx less total sales?

can anybody tell me what the 360 version states on the start up news page?

Fishy, though it could be in total on both platforms?

So vgchartz is within 10%. That is good considering a lot of sales are from europe/others which is harder to track.

The 360 doesn't have the startup news page because the cagney update is still delayed.

well, when 360 owners do get the update, its superb
the game is much more tidied up

odd but still close.

i think the demo had an online element so there is a possibility that both numbers are accurate?

Remember VGChartz estimates. IMO, espeicially with software +/- 20% is still pretty accurate and the difference in the figures you quote is ~ 10%.

Rental Copies and shared games will be counted multiple times as the total wont be a snapshot but a total of all unique PS3 consoles logging in.
