Hudson bringing Kororinpa 2 coming to Nintendo’s Wii? Posted in Trailers, Rumors, Nintendo DS, Games, Wii by Adam Riley on July 30th, 2008 at 23:47 Japanese developer Hudson Soft, renowned for its work on the likes of Bomberman and Bonk over the years, is reportedly working on several new games for Nintendo’s innovative Wii console, if reports are to be believed. Rather than make a formal announcement at this year’s E3 event, it would appear that Hudson Soft is set to do what Capcom did with the news of Dead Rising heading from the Xbox 360 to Wii, in other words save the best revelations for another time.

Whilst Capcom chose to unleash its bombshell in last week’s Famitsu magazine in Japan, according to Italian website Planet Nintendo it would appear that Hudson is waiting in the wings for the Games Convention over in Leipzig, Germany, which takes place during August. Kororinpa: Marble Mania (as it was known in the US) for Wii from Hudson Soft According to the website, Hudson will be lifting the lid on Hard Working People for the Wii console, as well Bomberman 2 for the Nintendo DS. The latter title sounds like it could be a pure Bomberman action game, and a direct sequel to one of the earliest Nintendo DS releases, rather than a spin-off like the RPG-light ‘Bomberman Story’ or mini-game fest that is ‘Bomberman Land Touch!’ The game that many will be most interested in, though, is Kororinpa 2 on Wii, the sequel to what many believed was a better tilt ‘n tumble game than SEGA’s own Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz and at least on par with Ignition Entertainment’s Mercury Meltdown Revolution. Could this be anything more than a mere rumour, though?

I really hope this is true as I loved the first - the controls on the first are still to boot arguable one of the best available with the slightest of tilts registering perfectly and at no time do you ever feel a mistake is the games fault and not your own - albeit too short a fantastic game.

To all of you that haven't played it - you deserve to play it.

thats the thing - it was pretty much a Wii launch game that krept under the radarwhere you had to guide a marbel through mazes but you held the wii mote flat in your hand and just tilted it. It really was a short game but it was perfectly executed.

Below is the best clip I could find.

Well the name sure doesn't roll off the tongue.  Anyways the game seems interesting.

I think the words Marble Mania were printed bigger on the american cover, then Kororinpa.

However these kind of rumors were the stuff, which spoiled E3 for me (and now they try it with GC again ...). If I never had knew that nintendo might reveal Kid Icarus, a new Zelda or Pikmin 3 and would have seen their E3 show, then I would have thought "Wii Music and Wii Sports Resort looked fun. A nice presentation from Nintendo".

With the rumors however I was disappointed.

I blame Internet rumors.

The first Kororinpa has to be one of the most overlooked Wii games released.
And it works with the Wii's target audience ; everyone. I can break this out with friends over and get the same response peple get playing Warioware and even Wii Sports. Gamers and non gamers love it!
Far superior to the Wii's Monkey Ball, Kororinpa is a perfect showcase for both the Wii-mote and fun gameplay.
Even if you only rent it, all Wii owners should play Kororinpa, it will remind you why the Wii is winning this generation, fun immersive gameplay that makes gaming feel new again.

BAM! There it is!
