Forums - Gaming - So I bought Final Fantasy 4 again for the 4th time.

Is anyone else addicted to Final Fantasy 4 this much? I don't feel it's a normal like for the series, I've bought every version that has been made, the original SNES version, PS1, GBA, and now DS.  Honestly the DS version is the best but I could quote you the game cause not only have I bought every version but I've beat the game about 20+ times now, I think Earthbound is the only RPG I've sunk more time into @_@

Also anyone else got the DS version and think it's better then the others?  It's a better translation then the older version and the voice acting is great.

Good. The first step to a cure is admitting you have a problem.

I've never played it. I'm trying to beat Apollo Justice before I purchase it. Is it worth it for a first time FFIV'er?

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Square must love you. FF IV is one title that is worth it though.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. @Zen
For sure it's a great game and with the DS version it's a lot better, it's got some of the best graphics on the DS, and great voice acting to go with it.

I only ever bought it on the SNES back in the day, but I deeply crave the DS version.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my brother for 'losing' my entire SNES collection when I left for college in '99. He was rooming with some other people in some shit house working a pizza job, borrowed my collection without my knowledge, and so of course some hoodrat stole them all >.

That sucks, I noticed you got Secret of Mana in that collection "Very nice High five!"

But also noticed your lack of Earthbounf that's disappointing =\

But hey at least what happened to me didn't happen to you, I basically had mint's of those games plus a more rare ones and they all burned up in a house fire with my consoles >_>

I've beaten the game several times as well. Now on the DS version, I'm in my second playthrough and going for 100% on the third, getting the best armor, all augments, and killing the two superbosses.

I don't know why I've played this game so many times. AS soon as I beat it on the DS, I immediately started the New Game+ and played for 3 hours XD. Probably still my favorite Final Fantasy game. I played VI bearly this year, it didn't have the impact it should have. IV will always hold avery special place in my heart.

If it was remade for the Wii, I would go nuts over it, buy it, and beat it several times again.

I wish my PS2 still worked...I want to play the PS era FF games.

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

I think it's fantastic, but I'm not sure I can say it's better than when it was FF2 (you can only have one first love, regardless of how much plastic surgery she's had).

Well the FF2 version actually had some awkward translations which didn't get changed in the PS1 version so if it's for the style and look of the old game the GBA version is best as it was retranslated and portable, if you want all the extra bells and whistles I'd say the DS version which I want all those bells and whistles XD
