Forums - Nintendo - Why a Fighting Game? Castlevania Creator Explains Himself

^^^ Those statements right there make him sound unaware to the current Wii situation. Don't blame the low budget on gamers not being there and not buying "gamer's games"

As for the journalist, he needs to grow a sac and BE a journalist, not a therapist.

lol! Bravo!

Well to all who have played Castlevannia you might not like it but I do.

I have never played a single castlevannia game but I am going to pick this up.
If I like it I might just pick up another one of his Castlevannia games. So woulnt his approach of expanding the series work since its bringing me a n00b to the series in and maybe buy more of the games in this series?

I dont know why you guys think its terrible. Let a series take a chance every now and then.

I didnt read that long ass post after reading a quote of the article that shows that the journalost is a dumbass.

Well I've never been a fan of the 3d castlevanias always 2d, though I will give a shot but I am going to wait till its comes out to decide. Probably just keep this a rental

"The saddest thing is watching Koji Igarashi on the E3 show floor, hovering around the Castlevania Judgment kiosk for half an hour, knowing that everyone hates it, knowing that he knows they hate it, then realizing that it's not the game he really wanted to make anyway because his publisher won't give him two dimes to rub together to develop the really awesome games he does want to create."

Wow. This has to be one of the most arrogant, presumptuous and obnoxious things I've ever read from a gaming 'journalist' and I've seen a lot of them. Where does this clown get off presuming what he thinks, feels, etc.? Does he have some window to the man's soul? Or is it more likely that he's projecting his feelings onto the situation, reading his own beliefs and biases into Igarashi's?

If you want a good example ofwhat is wrong with journalism today (and not just the laughable gaming variety) you could do a lot worse than this sickening display.

Just wanted to make sure everyone read this.

Geez people are flanking this game haha. I really not that interested in it but didn't know there was so much hate around it haha. Goo haha.

I don't even think we need to bring up Soul Calibur: Legends, a crossover title that turned out to be a electronic abortion.

Yeah, the parallels are obvious. I don't think that this game will turn out to be quite that horrible, but... damn.

Why do publishers feel that in order to bring an established franchise over to the Wii, they have to destroy it in the process?

I'm going with the element that the journalist is a jerk and is just portraying his opinion.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

That journalist is stupid. I see this game as Star Ocean meets Soul Calibur and it interests me. I never played a Castlevania game before though.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Maybe they don't want to take risks just like namco did with scl.

Personally I can't wait for this game. It looks really good. The Castlevania I've played I really like and I love fighting games so I'm going to buy this game when it comes out.
