I think everyone but ferret1603 has said what an awesome game it is. And guess what I concur. Its best online but still a great game by yourself.

No, only if you are a die-hard Mario Kart fan. It's easily one of the most over hyped games on the Wii and unfortunately won of the worst iterations in Mario Kart history. The turning is horrid (with or without the wheel), the graphics aren't good for a Wii game and the new items are ridiculous. The only enjoyable part of this game is the online, which is very well done, especially for a Wii game.
Overall, Double Dash is the superior game unless you absolutely need the game or would be mostly playing for the onlne.

what ? the turning is exactly like double dash ....every kart/bike has different stats that let it drift/turn differently.
OT: yes its a great game to play offline or online with friends . The 12player GP instead of 8 makes it more fun and chaotic then usual. The new items add a twist to the game it still takes skill to get first place with a bit of luck sometimes. Only problem is the battle mode which not as good because no free for all :(

No, they had to make the turning for every kart/bike slower to compensate with the Wii wheel, so even if you are pushing the control stick drastically in a certain direction, you still turn painfully slow compared to previous games.
Of course different karts and bikes have different stats for turning but not one of them compares to the turnng of Double Dash which was a lot quicker and smoother.

@ die hard. They did not make the turning slower. This is not true. I play the game almost every day so I think I would know. Oh, and Double Dash was my least favorite Mario Kart.

Must be something wrong with your copy of mario kart then beacuse me and all my friends who have it don't have this problem at all.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

I think it is perhaps your mind running faster, which makes it seem slower.... because otherwise you are talking crap.
I will agree graphically it is nothing special, although it certainly looks better than DD. With the exception of the Thundercloud I like the new items.
MKWii>>>>>MK:DD>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>MK64 (now that's a game you can complain about the steering in... I blame the 2D karts placed on 3D track)

Say wha? since when does MK64 use 2D karts? I played this just yesterday and they looked pretty much 3d to me. Are you sure you're not thinking of Super Mario Kart or something?
