As long as Sony's own shipping forcast turns out correctly they should only have shipped around 21M units at the end of the 2008. Around 20M seems to be the max in that case.

Doing an estimate identical to the one I did for the 360 recently I would say ~22.08m. I noticed an error in my 360 estimate while doing it though and after correcting it the 360 estimate should have been ~25.84m.

These estimates, if true, would have the 360 selling ~9.99m this year and the PS3 selling 13.20m.

My Ranges would be:

360 -25.07m to 26.75m

PS3 - 21.06m to 23.28m
