Most dissapointing games:
Haze, Alone in the Dark (all versions), Operation Darkness
Worst games:
Everything from Data Design Interactive, Lost, Hail to the Chimp, Hellboy
Most Boring game:
Beijing 2008

If you really think the biggest disappointment of the whole year is a hyped game with good reviews, than you're an attention whore (or you don't play all that many games).

As for my opinion, there's no clear criteria to create one.

I would have to say Alone in the Dark. I had high hopes for that game, and even though Haze intrigued me, I am not big on console shooters. So it wasn't a let down for me. I was going to post a control alt delete comic here about Alone in the Dark, but I couldn't find it. :(

In terms of expectation to what we received, Alone in the Dark is the clear winner in terms of crappiness.

Haze was just a plain ol average game, Alone in the Dark is just plain bad
