Well, people have known for a while now that this is happening. The fact that most of the companies are continuing down the same path is only going to end badly. Over the next decade, we'll probably see the rise of some smaller companies to positions of prominence.

Which 3rd party devs struggle? Let's have a look.

Take2: The period ends 31.03. What happened directly after that? Correct GTA4 was released. So they should be fine.

Midway sucks and deserve to loose money
Sega sucks and deserves to loose money
EA sucks even more and deserves to die.
Atari still exists?

So this seems to be more of a natural selection process which is a great thing of capitalism. Publishers with sucky games die. Companies with good games flourish. Its how it should be.

I think that Take2 number include GTA4 launch before it T2 was having massive losses yearly ( above 100M a year).

I say this because T2 financial year start in October so T2 financial quarter doesn't finish 31 march but 30 April if I remember correctly.

Anyone that thinks these tables are funny is no friend of gaming. It is not good for gaming or the industry and ultimately the consumer that 3rd party software publishers struggle to make money.
It just means they will be more inclined to chase the faster, cheaper buck. And if that means emulating Nintendo then the industry will contract in style and be all the worse for it in my opinion.

I blame Sony and Microsoft for their losses, Nintendo is saving the industry again.

that's a pretty nice list... thanks for posting it
