Pretty much every electronic store I visited this week-end only had MGS4 bundled PS3 and I saw very few 40Gb ( I saw 1 in 3 shops, all of them had plenty of bundles though).
That means the majority of the PS3 bought in the next weeks will sell a copy of MGS4 too.
Not bad at all for Konami...
PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !
PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !
Yeah, this is the kind of stuff that kept MGS4 from going multiplat at launch, not to mention that the game takes up close to 50 GB.

anyways MGS4 sales will go up definitely.Amazon has got a big restocking on MGS80GB PS3,,the bundle has been in number 3 for the past 4 days.

I'm in Colorado.
For people that don't want MGS4 they have 3 choices :
- realize that this is probably their last chance to get a BC PS3 and bite the bullet anyway.
- Hunt for a 40Gb (which will get rarer and rarer in the next weeks).
- Wait for the new 80Gb coming out at the end of August..
PS : for the first time since the Wii has been released I actually saw Wii in stock, and in 2 shops to boot it ! ( Both Best Buy and Target had a few copies, on Friday for Best Buy, Satursday for Target, both around noon).

Yep, in terms of moneyhatting games, this is the most productive system-selling moneyhatted game of the generation, although Gears of War comes close. Very succesful move by Sony in this case.

They'll lose sales from people who were just interested in the 40gb model, but they'll gain sales from the people who were interested in the extra hard drive space, MGS4, rumble controller, and backwards compatibility. If anything, I think they would gain more consumers than they would lose b/c of the increased functionality.

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
so for the next month the 80 GB MGS4 bundle would be the only one available for sale?
