Forums - Nintendo - Why do people dislike SSE?

So I started playing SSE with a friend a few days ago (well, a month, but I've been away, and finished it yesterday), and wasn't really expecting a lot from it after everybody saying that the platforming and such is horrible.

Honestly, I cannot see what you were complaining about. The platforming is awesome - in my opinion, it may be better than DKC's, and almost on level with SMB.

The fighting is pure awesomeness. It might actually be even better than the rest of the game (honestly).

After reading through a few old complaints about SSE (like Twesterm's post), I found that I cannot really agree with anything of it.

So, I ask you fellow Europeans, are you as (positive adjective) as the Americans, or can you see the brilliance of SSE?

Oh, and my FC is 3437-4501-7765 if anybody wants to add me.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

It gets repetitive sometimes like going threw that maze having to backtrack ect. I thought it was pretty fun since it offered co-op which I played threw with my lil brother.

Very very repetitive and not too fun to begin with. And on co-op one person has to be the shitty pokemon.

It was AWESOME, but the great maze was annoying.

I liked the SSE except trying to go back and complete it 100%, I still did though.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

It was clearly not the focus of the game, and it shows.

Excuse me? What about the massive numbers of us "stupid" Americans that enjoyed it quite a bit, you lazy European?

I found it awesome too, especially the cut-scenes. The Great Maze was great as well, IMO. I love Metroidvania-like backtracking.

SSE really resembles Kirby platforming, only with more fighting. That's understandable, since Sakurai is the man behind the Kirby ánd Smash games.

The only thing that REALLY sucks about SSE is that you have to collect trophies in it by getting randomly appearing trophy-stands. I was camping in the Petey Piranha fight for like minutes and the damn thing didn't appear! Any tips anyone? Thanks.

Tell me about it, I was camping in the lava part and I still haven't found the sniper rifle.

 You're counted as Europeans.

Also, how the heck is it repetitive? I can't understand it. You have the platforming from several Nintendo games. It is definately less repetitive there. You also have 30 different guys to fight with, all with different attacks. How can that be repetitive?

I don't see how the great maze had backtracking neither. I didn't really find it confusing at all, because the map was too easy to read.
