Gore is nice, but amazing gameplay and level design is what I want. And a really nice story...

it depends, if they are putting in more gore just to be cool then i will pass, i don't care for over the top gore b/c it makes the game less ...less real i guess..i mean the body only has so much blood and something of similar size can only hold so much fluid--so if i shoot you and a few gallons of blood come gushing out of the hole then you will be dead or passing out not running and jumping for cover

Could this just be showing what some people define as "mature" games?

Sorry, it just had to be said. Blood and guts are the stuff of teenage horror flicks. Those type of movies do pretty well out of the box but don't have long legs (only last a few weeks). FPS games are beginning to mirror that both in substance and sales it seems.

you guys bashing it are well aware that Resistance isn't about realism right ? have you even tried it ?... it's in the past + thers freaky monsters + the weapons are crasy very crasy...
