MotionPlus accessory adds hope to Red Steel 2

The Wii MotionPlus accessory is probably the best thing that could happen to Red Steel, and, luckily, Ubisoft has figured out this staggeringly obvious fact. The company has announced that they'll be using the new motion-tracking device in Red Steel 2, which is still yet to be officially announced itself. Although now that the game's producer is giving interviews about it, we can be pretty sure it's coming.

Adding the new technology will no doubt add to the already lengthy development cycle of the sequel, and accordingly no release window is given for Red Steel 2. This is the first game other than Wii Sports Resort that has been revealed to use the MotionPlus peripheral, so it's at least ahead of the curve in aspects not related to actually being available in a store.

I'm keeping low expectations that way if it's good I'll be pleasantly surprised but if its bad then I can just shrug it off.  I'm glad they're using the MotionPlus though, so there's hope for the sword fight multiplayer mode yet.

Kingdom Hearts 3 Bet: If Kingdom Hearts 3 becomes a multiplaform title/is not Wii exclusive then I will be banished from this land for 1 week and sing my praises to those who have proved themselves to be more intelligent than I.http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/RDBRaptor/rdbraptor_sig16.jpg%5B/IMG%5D">

Low expectations-check.

TBH, my friends and I really liked the split screen.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Then again, this is the company behind Haze. So it might get a lot of hype and end up being terrible.

Haze was developed by Free Radical.

Its a start from ubisoft, I guess it would be average since they are more on the casual side of thing now. Also should't the name be red steelz 2?

Link, or it didn't happen. I don't see this on the Joystiq site yet.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Oh, and Free Radical has made a lot of good games, most starting with "Time Splitters"

One thing I wanna add this game probably won't release to after the second quarter of 2009 so probably a fall release if anything.

As for expectations they should have alot of models of good controls schemes and enough time to create engine to make a decent looking game.So if they mess it up badly then it's studio lack of ability.

P.S Thank you for the above post.

I hope RS2 will be great. And as they say in the interview: they consider Red Steel as an important brand so they will put a lot of effort in it. I'm really tired of the Ubisoft hate.
