Forums - Sony - I Got A PSP!!!!!!

final fantasy tactics? is that like the strategy games but you have this judge or something ?
@DMJ why?

PSP is fine, but if I wasn't a Sony Fan, I would never have owned one.  DSs library is so much better than the PSPs.  You do have a good back catalog of games to play, but the future looks bleak.

A great buy if you like core games. If you like traditional adventure games, shooters first or third person with resonable controls then you'll love the PSP. If pretending to blow up ballons by blowing into a mic and then seeing how fast you can pop can pop them with a stylus is your fancy then you might not like it.

PSN: EDguila

PS3 library:  Motorstorm, Assasin's Creed, Orange Box, Uncharted:DF, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance:FOM, Rachet & Clank Future:ToD,

Near future: Folklore, SOCOM Confrontation, BioShock, Little Big Planet, Resistance 2.

it's not a big problem for me as i also have a ds they should both compliment each other well

You hold on to your lady, cause she sounds like a real winner. What kind of games are you into?

If you like RPG's, check out:

Jeanne D'Arc
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
FF Tactics
Crisis Core (action RPG)
and quite a few others

Two of the real gems on the PSP are Loco Roco and Patapon, which you should check out no matter what kind of games you like.

Other great games are:

Castelvania: Dracula X Chronicles
Lumines
Silent Hill: Origins
Killzone: Liberation
Daxter
and many many more.

will definitely eventually check out the highlighted sometime

I said no more negative about the DS more so than I did PSP.

DS caters more to people who like to play simple casual games; I should know I made the mistake of buying one.

Aside from New Super Mario Bros I found nothing fun other than GBA ports.

Some like vanilla, some like chocolate...that's just the way things are.

Well when I play all of these + other great core games on my DS I wonder what you are talking about.

There are ports of GBA games on the DS? Any good ones among them?

*Phoenix Wright

*Scourge: Hive

And that's all I can think of right now. Phoenix Wright I'm sure you're well aware of and Scourge was a good game on GBA (isometric Metroid, basically) and is ever-so-slightly better on DS (mainly because of the omni-present map on the bottom screen rather than any real graphical or gameplay boosts).

Although it's pretty much always ignored, Wild Arms XF is a very good SRPG and it genuinely requires some measure of strategic thought (which separates it from more standard SRPG games like Jeanne and FFT)--and, as far as I'm concerned, also serves as a mea culpa from Xseed after the absolutely abyssmal Valhalla Knights, which you don't so much play as inflict upon yourself for any grievous sins you've committed.
