The Tales series is quite prominent in Japan. I'm thinking it will do better then any RPGs before. If any game will move hardware over there, its gonna be this game.

That said, I'd say 80k-150k. Really this is a tough call.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I'm sure it will be the highest seller out of all the RPGs so far. Maybe 250-350k?

That's almost the same as the Wii version will sell. I don't think so.

Tales is a core series and 360 owners are core gamers.  Also, Japanese 360 owners love JRPGs, it's a fact.  Then again, I don't think there is a Japanese gamer that hates JRPGs.

Sorry, but that doesn't mean it will sell the same amount or more as TOS2. That is asking for about a third to a half of the 360s userbase in Japan to buy the game. Also like everybody seems to be saying tales games don't have legs.

Edit: And there are probably ALOT more core wii owners than 360 owners in Japan.

Well it's a main title and it's bundled so it will probably crack 200k.

On the other hand, Tales games have been coming out so frequently that the fanbase may just skip this one since like 4 people own a 360 over there to begin with. The Vesperia demo also didn't get a good reception amongst fans and Tales fans will ignore a Tales game if they don't like it (Tempest). I would not be surprised if sometime next year Vesperia gets 'demoted.'

Whatever its first week is, it'll have huge dropoffs. I mean look at the Wii version. Especially when you say how huge of a core title it is.

Thus I'm thinking about 80k-100k first week and 150k-170k lifetime. Second week sales could be under 10k.

50k first week. 90k lifetime.
