Oh I love that mantra because it's got to be the most BS mantra in the history of mantras.

If you wanna play Tennis why are you playing Wii Sports? Go and play actual Tennis.

Great mantra. As a matter of fact, why are you playing any video games? Go and play cards and chess with people and do sports instead of doing stuff 'virtually'... 

Also, I'm sure Nintendo fans wouldn't welcome better graphical abilities on the Wii. Right... 

If you want to kill zombies, don't play RE, go find a voodoo practicioner in Haiti who's willing to raise the undead from the nearest grave!

If you want to kill demon-spawn from hell, don't play Doom, go to your local Satanist lodge and ask the grand master if he can temporaily open the gates of hell for you to blast imps with your shotgun!

If you want to play Far-Cry, don't play the game, hire a team of mercenaries bent on wasting your ass and place them on a tropical island - don't forget your Cry-Vision goggles!

I thought it looked so awesome she'd be interested, but nope, she wouldn't even get up and look, she does play some games though, just has no regard for interesting games.

I think you two misinterpreted me, I wanted my gf to be interested and was stressing my disappointment that she wasn't.

It's a neat novelty, but I don't see this having any bigger a role in gaming than Eye Toy. It does look neat but being on PS3 almost certainly dooms wide spread appeal. How can people call the wiimote a fad/gimmick then say something like this is a sure deal? Its ironic.

I see, I brought her into it because I was so excited of how this game looked I thought anyone in the world would be facinated when they see it, quite like the Wii when it first came out, but yeah, I guess a failed attempt at explaining how awesome I thought this looked :P

 Who said the Wiimote is a fad and this is a sure thing? Did anyone predict a massive success for this? It's not even equatable. The Wiimote is the core of the Wii gaming, this is an extra peripheral. Also the Eye Toy has been successful on PS2. Later on at cheaper PS3 prices, the Eye will do well. No one is saying this is going to be a huge turning point or anything, just that people are showing interest in the tech and some in the game (Such as myself).

This is a very neat concept but not quite as effective as the clip implies. It looks like the camera isn't locking the 3-D rendered figure's position in place to match the card's movement -- the hand holding the card is trying to hold still, but it does drift slightly during the clip, and the dragon's feet don't stay locked in place on the card. Maybe better "anchoring" will happen in real time in the finished product, but right now it isn't QUITE as cool as it looks.

(Of course, it would be REALLY cool if the dragon's shadow could be rendered to blend with the hand's shadow, but now I'm just dreaming.)
