We'll see, I don't see Microsoft bringing anything big beyond Halo and Gears of War.

So how about MSG4, Resistance, Motorstorm and GT5:P? All were bundled to save face. I bet none of these would have hit 3mil or 2mil without signifcant bundles. On the other hand Mass Effect, Gears and Halo didn't need to be bundled. Shows you how badly SONY has fallen. I presume GOW3 will be bundled like hell just like GOW for PSP which didnt even get 1mil before bundled. Even Grand theft auto 4 for PS3 was bundled. Just goes to show you PS3 doesnt sell software

The X360 has just as many great games in 09 as it did this year (08) or last year (07).

What's amazing is that people expect Microsoft to play the Sony game and announce every single big-budget title 2-3 years before it comes out. MS doesn't play that game, and neither does Nintendo.

For 09 we got:

Mass Effect 2 (will sell over 3m, easily)
Alan Wake (1m+ easily)
Star Ocean 4 (1m+)
Forza 3 (2m+ maybe even 3m)
Halo Wars
Huxley

And those are just a few of the titles. Like others have said, everyone was speculating in 2007 that Microsoft was blowing their entire GENERATION OF GAMES during Holiday 2007. Guess what? Last I checked, 08 is just as big as 07 in terms of uber-games. Gears will be almost as big as Halo, and the supporting cast for games outside of Gears is great.

Also, at the end of 07, how many of the awesome Playstation 3 games were going to come in 2008 that have been pushed back?

SONY fanboys are trying to attack the 360 and feel happy after losing FF13. Keep trying (and waiting for GT5)!!!!!

If you mean huge exclusive blockbusters, the only ones left for the PS3 imo is GT5 and GoW3. And these are highly likely to be 2010. Im shocked people think GoW3 will come out 2009 when all they showed was a CG teaser at E3. Sure I could be wrong, but based on the PS3's past record, its not looking good.

I think the next Halo game will be able to carry 2009 alone in terms of popularity and sales, but I think this list speaks for itself:
