Bestbuy.com has this for $9.99 now. No excuses! I was on the fence at $19.99, but at 9.99, I snapped it up. Looks like fun!

Looks like we have a winner. I'll edit this into the OP. Thanks for telling us this.
Gamestop has it down to $19.99 as well. I picked it up today along with House of the Dead 2 & 3 in exchange for a bunch of old PS2/Xbox games.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be building, fusing, and, uh, destroying if you need me. :)
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

I'm actually sorry to hear that. I'd thought the Amazon offer was a limited sale, but it's starting to look like the title's price has been sliced across the board, which isn't usually something you do with good-selling games.
That sucks, because it's a good game.

Well, from the bit that I've played of it thus far, the campaign seems to have a pretty slow learning curve, which is a breath of fresh air for a shmup. I'd imagine the complaints you've heard about the gameplay were from die-hard shmup fans, and really, there's enough tough-as-nails bullet-hell games out there to satisfy them already. =P
