In general, necro bumping doesn't bother me as long as you have something good to say.

The ones I get pissy about are ones that are long dead and done with, where people just bump them for bumping sake (and any bump bothers me really) and things like that.

A good example as a perfectly fine necro post was over on NeoGaf when The Dark Knight was first released. About two years ago when Heath Ledger was announced as The Joker, people were saying he was too much of a pretty boy for the part and the movie would suck for it. The day the movie came out, someone revived the epic thread with a picture of a crow with eat me under it. That example is perfectly fine by me.

Yeah I wondered about this, because well this is the first I've heard of it really.
Also I am pretty new here and at times I'd like to find threads I wasn't around for and be able to add my two cents to them. Also I'd figure people making a ton of repeat threads because old ones are locked would be considered more of a problem than bringing back oldies.

looking through old threads to find something interesting is just fine. In fact, I'm on my way now to find a specific thread that probably hasn't been posted in for over 3 months.
