How did killzone 2 not win for best graphical achievement? There is no way in hell gears beats that game.

Gears 2 was easily more detailed and also when the people at E3 got to play it, apparently cover breaks up, and there were loads more enemies on screen. I think it's funny that the 360 has outdone all PS3 exclusives in graphics. I said when I first saw the Gears demo it was the most graphically impressive detailed game yet.

So Oblivion with guns takes the cake ? I'm sorry but I can't agree with that.

The best part of Fallout 3 is the humor, a feature so often neglected in most games today.

It does suffer from a drab palette and an empty world (at least in the first area) but was still pretty fun to play.

Your first mistake, it's not Oblivion with guns. Just wait for the game to be released, then you'll see.

That said, what game would YOU pick as best of show(please don't say LBP)?

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

/start rant

They contradicted themselves on Best Music/Rhythm Game:

"While Rock Band 2 doesn't quite have the massive amount of updates that Guitar Hero World Tour promises, it does have an absolutely killer soundtrack."

Aside from the fact that the award is about the best game and not the best set list its also kind of pointless that they are comparing a released set list against an unreleased set list.  Of course a complete list is going to look better than the incomplete list, if you choose 80+ popular songs and compare it to my list of 15 popular songs and we ask people which they would rather have they are going to choose the 80+ songs because there are at least 5 times as many songs to meet their tastes in music. But that's not even what the award is for to begin with.

And of course Harmonix gets a pass on the fact that they utterly failed to deliver for the Wii while GH:WT delivered what they couldn't and then some. But honestly I'm willing to bet this was written by someone who plays it on the 360 and only looked at it from the perspective of a 360 gamer (which of course means he gets it 6 months ahead with full features where as PS3 owners wait and Wii owners wait and still don't get the full features). Don't get me wrong I'm happy for 360 owners and I hope they enjoy the game, but this isn't "Best Music/Rhythm Game for the 360" its for all consoles, and the Wii version is crippled and that should count against the game but apparently doesn't in his mind.

From an objective standpoint Guitar Hero World Tour is simply a better game. They will both have great set lists, they will both have identical online play, they will both have tons of paid DLC, etc...  But RB lacks many of the deep customization features for guitars, drums, characters, etc..., it lacks a full featured music editor, it has a smaller drumkit without raised cymbals, and it lacks a free DLC community.  The good news is that RB2 will still be a fantastic game and admitting that World Tour has some awesome features will in no way diminish that.

I understand that folks don't want to buy another set of instruments and are already financially dedicated to RB via instruments and DLC and that's fine, I totally understand you have to budget as a gamer. But that doesn't mean you plug your ears and pretend World Tour doesn't exist (and most of you guys aren't, this is just my rant against this guy so don't take it personal).  And again the good news is that if you tough it out with RB2 and wait for RB3 I'm confident they will add these missing features and then go a step further by adding awesome new  features of their own. But until then please...just give credit where it is due.

Ok I feel better

To Each Man, Responsibility

Ok I gave top of category 3 points, runner up 1 point and I doubled exclusives. I ignored the PSN/Wiiware/Xbox arcade games and the Best of console/PC awards and I got these numbers.

1st: Xbox360 69pts
2nd : PC 66 pts
3rd: PS3 57 pts
4th Wii 24 pts (Ouch) :)

I know it sounds like an obvious response coming from me - but the Xbox360 did REALLY well, probably according to IGN the best console from the show.

Consider also that Fallout 3 has special sauce with the Xbox360 exclusively it gives an even better edge there as well along the RPG front.

Starcraft will be Pi$$ed that Fable 2 didn't win 2-4 more awards. xD

no need to tell them that .. they all know how to read .. after that they will said that u are trolling.

Not trolling - "probably" Thanks for the underline though. It makes my post look cooler. I should use it more often.

@Squilliam
I'm curious how the scores would be changed if you counted the online bought games (PSN and the like)
