The difference between unreal and crysis tech is that a great deal of developers use unreal and thus any improvement to the unreal engine has far more impact on the industry then crysis's graphics engine has had.
BTW I've been saying it for years now but the 360 and ps3 are essentially exactly the same. The difference is negligible.
360 owners, if you haven't already, download the Gears of War gameplay reaveal from XBOX Live. It's the same footage from E3, but it looks so much sharper on the 360. I can't wait 'til November!!

but gametrailers(xbox fanboys) agree that killzone 2 looks better. so if ign(mainly xbox fanboys) take to gears 2, i guess its one apiece at the moment.
looking at both gameplay videos killzone 2 looks way more impressive

People were saying the same things about FFXIII until a few weeks ago.
As for the difference between Killzone 2 and Gears 2 I think it would be a massive failure for the PS3 if Killzone didn't blow Gears completely and unequivocally out of the water considering it will have had a development cycle more than twice as long.
I personally don't care to bother looking at videos of both since I only own a 360 and therefore already know which game I will get, but I am already extremely impressed at the improvements Epic has made over Gears 1.
Whats funny is when people(mostly sony fans) keep saying unharted is graphicly better than the origanal gears. I have to disagree with this I think graphicly gears looks better than uncharted with the amount of detail and textures and all that. Now having said that nearly everyone that says uncharted has better graphics always point to the actual look of the game(better colors and all that). For me there is a diff between graphicly better and looks better. You see I agree that uncharted does have more color and all that so in a way it does LOOK better but I still stand by that the graphics of gears are better. Not sure Im explaining this to good let me give a example.

Kung fu panda does have better graphics though.

I am not sure how anyone could make that argument, being no one has seen any real gameplay of FFXIII. I never thought FFXIII could not be done on the 360. FF games have never required a lot of power to run.
I have said it from day one, and I will say it again. Uncharted could not be done on the 360. Proof is, that no one has yet to accomplish it. The cpu power is just not there.
Gears 2 looks great, and Epic got this award because they took the hardware of the 360, and made something special with it. Resistance 2 is going to look better, but it's less of an achievement, because they have more to work with.
Crysis Warhead looks better, but they have a huge advantage in what they have to work with.
This award was not given to Epic because they made the best looking game, it's given to them because they made the most out of what they have to work with. I think Epic deserves it.
