Forums - Website Topics - Have the officers in this website been alittle strict lately?

The mods could tighten the ropes a good deal more around here before I'd complain. Vigilant and occaisionally ruthless moderation is the main reason why this forum hasn't turned into a cesspool of douchebaggery like most of the internet.

@Griffin. Naznatips? I thought the head moderators on these boards were DKII and Ben.

Nope, naznatips is the big mod-boss! I love him! Just look at his avatar. Sorry Montana, you're good as well, but who could possibly stand up againsts the greatest.

Now someone please give me a tissue, quick, there's some brown on my nose.

I wanted to thanks the Mods for not being so strict in the Off-Topic Section... some of the best threads wouldn't have become what they are now if they were cut short.. and you guys are doing a great job in the PS3 vs 360 vs Wii threads..

but could you guys just lock every thread about FFvii or Xiii rumors.. those are getting out of control.. xD

Yeah, Mr. Montana is cool. If I had to make a list of my favorite mods he would not only take the top spot, but also the second and the third place. He is that cool.

I love myself too.

As for the other mods, let's see what their opinions hold.

Although I generally believe that the less said about VGChartz mods, the better, I do feel obligated to say a few things about VGChartz mods's villainous, inerudite taradiddles. First off, there's a lot of daylight between VGChartz mods's views and mine. It believes that it is an organization of peace while I suspect that I welcome its comments. However, it needs to realize that it uses highfalutin terms like "pharmacodynamic" and "historiographical" to conceal its plans to make things worse. In this scheme of its, a mass of grandiloquent words falls upon the facts like soft snow, blurring the outlines and covering up all the details. We become unable to see that VGChartz mods is opposed to free enterprise, individual liberty, trial by jury, and even such post-Westphalian notions as national sovereignty. Now, that last statement is a bit of an oversimplification, an overgeneralization. But it is nevertheless substantially true.

I like to think I'm a reasonable person but you just can't reason with the most presumptuous smut peddlers I've ever seen. It's been tried. They don't understand, they can't understand, they don't want to understand, and they will die without understanding why all we want is for them not to lay all of society open to the predations of organized criminality. I unmistakably can't stress this enough, but VGChartz mods's jeremiads can be subtle. They can be so subtle that many people never realize they're being influenced by them. That's why we must proactively notify humanity that thoughtful people are being forced to admit, after years of evading the truth, that I have been right. I was right when I said that VGChartz mods's recommendations are a perfect example of overgeneralization and blatant fanaticism. I was right when I said that VGChartz mods is the type of organization that would shoot you just to see if its gun worked. And I was right when I said that this is not the first time I've wanted to take personal action and maximize our individual potential for effectiveness and success in combatting VGChartz mods. But it is the first time I realized that not only does it impede the free flow of information, but it then commands its accomplices, "Go, and do thou likewise."

VGChartz mods prefers defamation to dialogue. I state these facts only to give a bit of personal background as to why if we look beyond VGChartz mods's delusions of grandeur, we see that it often argues that truth is whatever your grievance group says it is. A similar argument was first made over 1200 years ago by a well-known profiteer and was quickly disproved. In those days, however, no one would have doubted that this is a lesson for those with eyes to see. It is a lesson not so much about VGChartz mods's bitter behavior but about the way that you shouldn't let VGChartz mods intimidate you. You shouldn't let it push you around. We're the ones who are right, not VGChartz mods. VGChartz mods is like a broken record, using the same tired cliches about family and education and safer streets, yet there's a time to keep silent and a time to speak. There's a time to love and a time to hate. There's a time for war and a time for peace. And, I contend, there's a time to free VGChartz mods's mind from the constricting trammels of academicism and the counterfeit moral inhibitions that have replaced true morality. Or, to put it less poetically, VGChartz mods can't possibly believe that its decisions are based on reason. It's unregenerate but it's not that unregenerate. Finally, any one of the points I made in this letter could be turned into a complete research paper, but the conclusion of each would be the same: Insecure metagrobolism and headstrong absenteeism are a matched pair.

Such big words for such a narrowminded person...

What annoys you the most?

People who that think a lot is one word.

And the Dutch.   They're almost as bad as South Dakota.

Aweful sweet to be a little butterfly.
Just wingin' over things
And nothing deep inside.

Did you say that Twestern? Did you catually say that? Please tell me someone edited that in. I don't know how bad South Dakota is, but everyone being negative about the great Dutch people deserves to be stuck in Austria for their entire life.

Oh the great things the Dutch have done for this world.

The mods are getting lots of threads made about them lately. I bet they are loving the attention.

I think they do a good job, it must be hard having to put up with some of the shit that goes on here. And i say this even after two bans myself

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

I have been a member of vg for 6 months and I find the mods a fair and balanced lot.
Also I would not envy there jobs with the amount of threads happening on the site at any giving time.

I often wonder how they spread out the work i.e. is it random or structured.
Does mod a and b cover ms mod c and d cover Sony etc etc.

But if a user has been banned and if they feel it was not right they can send a message to that mod or Naznatips with a new account and talk about the banning or the length of it. I know this is what i have done in the past and they have never had a problem with it. This allows you to get a better understanding of the ban and the length of it, and sometimes they reduce the length of the ban.

Just to point out, the better approach is to actually use the email links in the staff page below to contact us rather than create a new account.

When I woke up today, I knew something bad was written about my country on this forum. I just knew it.

The most evil person in the world is Austrian, or was that Australian? I always get them confused!

That is a very good suggestion. Creating new accounts annoys the mods and can result in longer bans or maybe a perma-ban.

The  VGC mods do a really good job and they let you get a way with a bit on here. Some would say they are a bit lenient on VGChartz. Some gaming sites would ban you without warning and for a much longer duration.
