U for one r calling someone out for not knowing the exact date of release in NA/PAL,but still u act sure that the 360 version will b delayed,???hmmmm i may get banned for this but STFU,plssssssssu make it clear that u wish/want it to b delayed for 360 maybe so  the ps3 version can have a better chance to pull ahead of the 360 version in the us hahahahaaaa,don,t call the kettle black ok.i see u clearly for what,who u r.......bitter.

I mean, all I did in that post you quoted was link to SE's own video and give a time where I believe they stated Final Fantasy XIII would be available on the Xbox 360 upon Final Fantasy XIII's launch in North America and Europe. I guess I simply believe that's a better interpretation of the sentence in their trailer.

Yes, the trailer says exactly what you quoted. Now, that's bad grammar like you can see in the subtitles of FFXIII in the very same video. You can replace "at" with "for", to understand what they meant. The "at launch" shouldn't be there actually, but you can't blame them too much for bad grammar, that's just a direct translation from japanese to english made by a japanese native speaker.

Now again, SE never talked about simultaneous release or anything yet, they just stated where the game will be released on this platform. Again, clearly say that 'simultaneous' is your interpretation and stop saying SE said that: they didn't!

Well, I get what you're saying now, but I still disagree. Like you said, it's my interpretation of what they're saying. That means, as far as I'm concerned (and to anyone else who interprets it the same way), SE did say it. At least now we know there's no point to us arguing because we're both working with the same facts and coming to different conclusions due to differing interpretations of those facts. I understand your interpretation but think mine's more accurate (hence it still being mine), and you seem to understand mine and believe it to be incorrect.

I can deal with that if you can.

Do these no name websites hire just anyone off the street to write for them?  It has been officially announced as coming out on the same day in North America and Europe, how exactly can these websites not understand that?

On Monday the 14th of August, the day prior to E3 2008 beginning, Microsoft held their traditional pre-show conference in which, amongst other things, they announced that the previously PS3 exclusive Final Fantasy XIII would be hitting the Xbox 360 too. They didn’t say when.

 

 If they're smart enough to invent a time machine then they must be a reputable group of persons; and I'd believe everything they say word for word without question.

If it was going to be launched earlier on ps3, surely sony spinsters would be out telling the world...

As they are not, it is going to be a simultaneous launch boys and girls.

The Japanese version for the PS3 will finish first, and then they will work on porting it to the 360 and working on the english translation at the same time. They expect the translation to take longer then the port.

My guess is once the translation is done, it can be easily "plugged into" all versions on FF-XIII

If all goes according to plan, the PS3 and 360 english version will be finished at the same time.

im pretty sure that the point of this thread is that the major public announcement (which the fanboys heard) was simultaneous, while the backroom version is when they are each ready.

umm hello? are you guys blind? let me throw some facts into your face for those who believe 100% that this will come out at the same time with Xbox 360 in North America and Europe. While it may seem true due to what they said in E3. This is surely known: they made the announcement just recently and decided to port it to the 360. So umm hello? Why the heck would they say "to release simutaneously worldwide with the PS3 version" if they haven't EVEN STARTED ON IT. Gee.... lets make the people on 360 happy that it will come out the same time but screw them over later when they find out it won't come out in the same time.

You forget they originally started on the game in 2006 on PS3, if they started on the Xbox 360 around that time, it would be more believable that they can release the game simutaneously . But out of the blue and expect to release it within 2 years (if it does come out in 2010)? impossible. Especially with crystal tools running on the 360, wouldn't the Unreal Engine work better?

Anyways, the fact is.. they made this originally for the PS3 and they will finish the game first on the PS3. You would expect them to easily finish the game easily for localization on the PS3. But 360? at the same time? thats a whole different system.

and oh yes, how would you guys believe what the guy at SE says? didn't a year ago, they said they plan to release this exclusively on the PS3 with no plans of multiplatform? Hello? what makes this more believable that they will release it the same time with the PS3 in NA? Did you forget about The Last Remnant? what happened? first it was we will release it simutaneously then they changed it to.. "oh we will release it first on the 360.. then later on the PS3" whats the deal?

We know SE can't keep promises, so why believe what they say? They are just feeding you BS so you like what to hear. (Good Xbox doggy, sit!) Personally... I think PS3 version will sell better on the PS3 than on Xbox 360, so why hold out for the 360 version if you completed it first and why not release it? Would you rather sacrifice waiting another year or POSSIBLY two years after the Japanese game was released just to finish the Xbox 360's version to release it simutaneously? NO, i don't think so.
