Forums - Microsoft - Netflix parties?

For those unaware of the Netflix offer through the 360 here is the simple synopsis. All you need is a 360, a gold account, and a netflix membership to stream Netflix movies through your console. Netflix subscribers can then invite seven friends into a party to watch the movie with them on their consoles. Those watching do not even need to be Netflix subscribers.

I am interested in hosting some anime marathons with my Netflix membership. I have a fifteen dollar subscription that entitles me to fifteen hours of streaming entertainment. I am also usually off on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the week. So I can basically have two or three marathons during the month. I am curious if anyone on these forums would be interested. Obviously you need a 360 and gold.

Anyother Netflix subscribers who think they might be interested in doing something similar by all means list your genre, plan, and times you are probably going to be available. Perhaps when the fall update gets close we could get a stickied movie thread going. Where members can announce their own movie times, and so forth.

It's only 15 hours for 15 dollars? Huh. I thought it was just infinite streaming.

Now, I wonder:

If I was a Netflix member, and you invited me to watch a movie, would I then be able to invite seven MORE people? Cuz we could get all 360-owning VGC-ers watching a flick together XD

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

The Live-Party feature seems interesting. The only drawback is every person watching must have Live Gold and a Netflix account.

That would be incredibly awesome!

@Dodece

I would actually take a Tuesday or Thursday off just for that.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

@WiiStation360

There is apparently no requirement for your guests to have Netflix subscriptions to watch your streaming video. Major Nelson has not made note of any such requirement neither has any media outlet that I have found said they everyone who watches the video must be a Netflix subscriber.

@Dodece

thats 15 hours a month right?

Yes that is fifteen hours a month.

I believe you get infinite hours for $15 a month. I get two dvds at a time and my streaming is infinite. I believe I am paying $15.

I'm down for this too. I plan on renewing my Netflix this Fall to coincide with this happening. Maybe I can do a movie theme night also. Anyone have any other good themed suggestions? I can do a 70's theme, with all the best from the 1970's. How about that? Annie Hall, All the President's Men, American Graffiti, Apocalypse Now, Barry Lyndon, Blazing Saddles, Chinatown, A Clockwork Orange, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Deer Hunter, Diamonds Are Forever, Dog Day Afternoon, The Excorcist, The Godfather 1 & 2, Halloween, The Hills Have Eyes, I Spit on Your Grave, Jaws, Kramer vs. Kramer, Last Tango In Paris, Live and Let Die, The Longest Yard, Mad Max, The Man With the Golden Gun, Manhattan, etc. etc.
