Forums - Microsoft - 360 owners only: Would you rebuy a 360 again?

Would I buy a 360 again if I knew what was ahead?? ... of course who wouldn't! I would of kicked myself if I had purchased a PS3 at that time.

Let's not kid ourselves, the PS3 has had nothing special to offer for the first year and a half, but I think you should be asking is if you where to buy a console today would you buy a 360 or a PS3?

Things have changed over the year, the price cut make it look more attractive everyday and it finally has a AAA game. I don't know what console I would buy if I choose today.. and with FFXIII being announced for the 360... I just don't know..

Year and a half is a gross exaggaration. We have had a top notch title to play ever since the day that Warhawk came out last August. I did not play anything on my 360 after Perfect Dark Zero untill Gears of War came out. Today, both consoles have enough games to keep me going but PS3's exclusives are coming at a steady rate every month or two.

Yes I would buy one again in a heatbeat. It's my second favorite console of all time and will very likely be my favorite by the end of this year or next. Knowing what I do now about the new update I likely would have bought an Elite (at the time I thought the extra harddrive space would be wasted).

Would I!? Of course! The only thing I would do different is take more days off from work and wait in front of Best Buy instead of Kmart. I would rather sit out in the rain like the wait for the PS3 than have bums throwing bottles at us while we sleep in Penn Station.

Plus Kmart's return policy sucks, I was better off sending my 360 off to MS myself then letting them do it. It took a month to get my 360 back. I'm lucky my cousin had just got one. I got to play his when he was at work.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Bought mine Oct 2007...and Yes I would buy it again around the same time period too. I got an HDMI model for my HDTV so I'm happy with it.

To put it in a nutshell: They have 1 exclusive each month. 360 has 2-3 each month.

Pie.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I would certainly, I've had my PS3 15months now and my Xbox360 about 8 months and i've used my Xbox360 2-3times as much as my PS3.

Tease.

The only reason I bought an XBOX 360 - and still the only reason I play it - is because most of my friends did.  And because of Halo 3 - which was a huge mistake because the game was a massive letdown.  Initially, I waited and bought a PS3 - I knew, before all of this started, based solely on development time, that the PS3 would be a much more stable machine.  Boy was I right.

Would I buy one again?  Maybe.  I bought an Elite when they came out, I've never had RROD - so the technical problems don't bother me much.  Knowing what I know now, I would have felt much better about my decision to delay buying a 360 in light of the whole RROD fiasco, as none of my friends have sent their 360's in less than 4 times for repairs.  One of my friends just got his back after his 7th time.

I'd buy one again, but it would be for the same reason - minus Halo 3.   I'd have just skipped buying that game and saved myself some money.  The library of games on the 360 doesn't pique my interest a whole lot because I got the system post-Gears era, and had already been deeply into Resistance, so Gears wasn't that special to me.  None of the other games really stand out to me, I don't know.  I'm not saying PS3 games are vastly superior, but Exclusives vs. Exclusives, the PS3 just has more higher quality games to me.  The 360 has some good ones, but I'll take a few great exclusives that I'll thoroughly enjoy playing over a bunch of just good-to-OK ones.

The only strength the 360 has over PS3 in my opinion is that a lot of the multi-plat games run better on the 360, and I play a couple multiplats.  Which is good for me, because I bought my 360 to play multiplayer with my friends, and all of the good multiplayer games (besides the one I know everyone will try to correct me on - Gears) seem to be multiplat.

The 360 is just an afterthought for me.  Everyone raves about XBL and this and that - I don't get what's so great about being nickle-and-dimed for everything.  PS3 is free online, AND Themes and Backgrounds are free.  You'd think XBOX themes and such would be free - since you PAY for XBL - and PS3 themes would cost a dollar or two.  I dunno..it just seems like 360 follows the MS mantra - make as much money as you can any way you can, even at the expense of your customers.  I don't feel like I get that vibe from PS3, but maybe others do.

This is way too long of a post just to say, "Yeah, and I'm glad I waited til I did, but I wouldn't have bought Halo 3."  My bad.

I already bought another one (for my kids) but would I buy a third one ? Yes!

Well, my first choice of console this gen was actually the Wii. But when I went to look for 2nd console to supplement the Wii, I actually was going to buy the PS3. If Sony were to concentrate more on games back then and less hype I probably would be a PS3 fanboys. I eventually got a PS3 but right now most of my gaming is on the 360.

ya, it is the best console on the market

Yes. I love halo and I've had a 360 for 2+ years without any problem.
