Forums - Nintendo - Reggie sees storage as mainstream problem

They're probably realizing that nobody's bothering to spend their Wii points downloading games, especially the new WiiWare stuff, because the average Wii owner doesnt want to use up his or her system memory by downloading just a few new games or channels. Most Wii owners don't download anything but the popular hits like the main Mario and Zelda games and they dont download anything else. Nintendo is losing alot of potential sales when it comes to downloads, so its no suprise if they release a storage option for the Wii... its too bad they won't do demos though...  actually, after the joke demos in Brawl im glad they don't do demos... 40 sec playable demo of F-Zero was the biggest joke I've seen in a long time.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Around the Network

I wouldn´t want outer hard drive..Something else.
Wii is right now so compact and small that it would ruin it.

It's important to keep this kind of complaining going so that the internet is constantly alive with this until a solution is handled.

Nintendo is stupid for not giving us a solution sooner because of all the lost potential sales. My old geezer Mom even has a Wii and simply read an article stating that the sizes of the WiiWare games are pretty big and she just assumed she can't get them. She's one of these casual people who aren't getting it. Hell, all she's downloaded is Pac-Man and that's it. She has room, but popular consensus is that the Wii can't handle too much downloadable content.

Third party companies should be pissed because this cuts into sales numbers of their stuff, too.

Like I've said before, if I pay for something--physical, digital, whatever--it's my property until such time as I feel compelled to sell it (if ever). It's stupid to expect me to throw away (delete) something I PURCHASED just to be able to purchase something else. Many Blue Ocean gamers, no doubt, don't understand that they can move the games to the SD card or download them for free later. Stupid, stupid, stupid Nintendo.

Also, when I buy a new DVD, I don't throw away two old ones to make room on my shelf. If need be, I get a bigger storage solution. The Wii is supposed to be easy to use, and a harddrive would make it tons easier to use for people than buying, downloading, deleting or moving, attempting to download, finding out you don't have enough room, moving or deleting, and finally telling Nintendo to go fuck itself for not caring enough to make storing digital media and information as easy as the Wii is supposed to be.

Resident_Hazard could not of said it any better

I have 0 Blocks left but I could always delete everyones Nintendo channel I guess.
