although the real sales shows that actually ps3 is catching up very quickly, but i do like the attitude MS shows in this gen console war. at least they showed aggresive-ness and the great desire to change things around this gen. unlike sony which gives me the lazy feeling. they just sit there watching MS buying away more n more exclusives but doing nothing at all. it gives us the feeling they are giving up and it really disappoints the fans around the world

Like I said, M$ will just deny it.

 

They still have 'more' sold in Europe than Sony, but from the looks of things that'll be changing soon unless they do something drastic.

 

I know in my local xtra vision in Ireland the 20 gig is selling for 199 Euro.

What can MS do to win back Europe? Nothing. They tried the price drop = fail. They already have the superior software lineup and better running versions of most games = Doesn't matter, Europe buy the PS3 version anyway.

Nothing MS can do to win back EU, it's gone. They best forget it. They will be guaranteed last in that region.

This is clearly not true, the ps3 has overtaking the 360 in Europe!! (Why does Microsoft lie?)

The company announced that the PS3 has now topped 5 million in sales, overtaking the Xbox 360 which launched a lot earlier and has been consistently cheaper. Maybe there’s something to this Blu-ray lark after all?

A ‘delighted’ David Reeves [pictured], SCEE president and CEO announced:

"I am delighted to be able announce today that we have sold more PlayStation 3's throughout Europe than Xbox 360 - even though they launched sixteen months before PS3.”

They shipped 10 million first and then in next 2 quarters they just needed to ship 1.5 million. PS3 will be just 4-4.5 million behind after Sony anounce the LTD numbers. It seem PS3 will be ahead of 360 by shipped LTD at the end of the year and maybe ahead on sales as well.

Microsoft needs to shut up about their 'first to 10 million' BS. If you align launches they were probably last to 10 million. They might as well start bragging about being the first console to launch this generation, because that's essentially the only reason they got to 10 million first.

At least Microsoft isn't giving up! I hope they at least outsell the first console by 10 million or so. No one likes a monopoly.
