Nope. I have stuck with Nintendo for gens, even when they were trailing.

I never have Ps1 and Ps2 and I have famicom ,super famicom ,dreamcast and Wii(Miss Gamecube because of studying in university).

I buy Ps3 b/c my family need Blu-ray player.(So its good because i can play some games i want :p)

But don't misunderstand me ,my loyalty stay with Ninty but i didn't hate Sony too. :3

I go where the games I want to play are. So NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube(needed melee, but was phased out since Wii can play gamecube games and brawl replaced Melee) and PS2 (DDR)

for handhelds, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance SP

Nintendo DS and Wii are actually the exceptions to this rule(sorta) they have the games that I want, but my real focus is on the interface, which just has tons of possibility, and only increases as time goes on. I'm actually most wrapped up in homebrew for these consoles right now.

Try to explain me Rock On. I don't buy based off of brand loyalty. I had an Xbox, will have a PS3, and have had numerous Nintendo systems (but no NES or GC).

I don't buy the market leader necessarily. I never owned a PS or PS2.

There's a reason we're called gamers. Most of us choose consoles based off of the games we want to play. And Louie said it perfectly above.

Alien vs. Predator. That was an awesome game (well, THE only awesome game) on the Jaguar.

I bought Megadrive because I had played Micro Machines on it at a friends house.

I bought an N64 because there was an offer on it at Sainsbury's (£75 for the console and an F1 game)

Ibought a GC because I had had an N64, and wanted the next Legend of Zelda (I never actually owned OoT on the N64, but I played that at a different friends house)

I bought a Wii because it's brilliant, it's Nintendo, it was fresh and new, it had a new Zelda on it (I would still have bought the Wii had TP gone to GC only though)

based on this, you should have saved everyone's time right now and created this thread next year.

i got the wii for my wife, ps3 and psp for me, 2 nds' - one nds for each of us. xb360 is looking better but i'm still on the fence if it's going to get purchased.

previously had the ps2, ps, snes, nes, gamegear, gameboy/colour/advance, atari 2600. ps on was purchased at launch (chose the ps because it was cheaper than the saturn even though i really wanted to play sega rally and virtua fighter 2). .. and my brother had the xbox.

i don't play graphic intensive games on the pc (though i will upgrade if diablo 3 requires it).

The only market leaders I have purchased were the SNES and the Wii. I didn't know that the SNES was market leader, and the Wii was not the market leader at the time I bought it. The other consoles I have owned were not market leaders. All the handhelds I owned were market leaders though.
