Ima huge sony fan but right now xbox is the RPG king.

2009 it will change. and the OP has a point most are coming on ps3 anyway.

To start Timed Exclusive is still exclusive.

Second you left out Cry on, LO2 and BD2 which is looking like 09.

Dude by end of 2008 the 360 will have: LO,BD,ES,TLR,IU,TOV as JRPG's.

by end 09 we currently have pending: Cry On, SO4, LO2, BD2 and FF13. And thats before M$ have even bothered to push through 09 coming releases heavily. So I expect maybe 3 or 4 more in 09 for 360.

WRPG's already by end 2008 are oblivion, Fable 2, Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Two Worlds and Too Human. The 360 is definately the place to be for JRPG's and Rpg's in genral.

SO4 is not even scheduled anywhere for PS3 IMO noone knows when TLR will show up on PS3 either. Based on ES evidence it could be 2010 before they arrive in the west for PS3. And Tears of Tiara has done nothing in Japan at all. 50,000 first week sales and 11,000 PS3 units sold. PS3 is in trouble with JRPG's.

Its not after its "time" expires. No one's talking about WRPGs

Yeah, but at this moment the combined userbase of PS3 in Japan+US is 7.5 million.

Plus this userbase of the 360 is shooter oriented in the US. Best sold titles: GTA, Resistance, CoD4. Sure userbase will increase, but in Japan it will sell an additional million in 100 weeks at the current pace. Sure there will be a holiday boost, but it's an understatement to say that PS3 is doing well in Japan. In the US the big upcoming titles are Killzone and Resistance.

 

fixed for reality.  PS3 owners are not shooter oriented.  A PS3 game and even a 360 game doesn't need to be a shooter to sell a million copies.

 

Nice, put your head in the sand and don't respond to my post at all. As it stands right now 360 has an RPG in the top 10 (Oblivion), that can't be said about PS3.

Of course anything can happen, but saying the PS3 has a RPG userbase is just as founded as saying Wii has a FPS userbase. It's purely based on hope, not on figures.

 

I think Hanzo's concerned with JRPGs not WRPGs

WKC looks better than LO.  LO looks great and all but there were some issues i.e. the characters' hair looked kinda strange sometimes, like it was poorly rendered
