Forums - Sales - What are the chances the Wii will reach 30 million this week?

http://vgchartz.com/weekly.php

Right now the Wii is on 29,581,397 consoles sold. It then requires 418,603 sales to reach the 30 million mark. So what are the chances of it happening this week? We know Australia is undertracked due to Nintendo Australia announcing it has sold 500k consoles this week so they will need to adjust that by 43k or so. So can it do it?

What does everyone think?

Well if you take a quick look at Wii data its apparent that Americas numbers are the most variant and in fact the WW trend line is dictated almost entirely by the America trends.

Long story short, we need to see about 190k or more in the US for the Wii to have a shot at breaking 30m this week. If it breaks 230k it definitely will.

We will probably see another ~350k week which leaves us about 60k-70k short.

No, but it will be VERY close. :)

Target, Circuit City and Toys R US are all advertising Wii consoles this week in their weekly ads. Odds are that at least those three retailers got a bigger than normal shipment.

It needs 420,000 sales. Normally i would say it has no chance.

But....it is the wii after all.

I doubt it tho. Will be tight. Tighter than my tiny white boxer shorts

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

I don't think. Why would sales suddenly increase in July?
