This kind of thinking disgusts me. Anyone who owns a Wii and plays the console regularly should be disgusted as well. The implication being that if you own a Wii you lack all discerning taste. That your feelings should be protected from big bad reviewers that have standards. That you should only receive watered down positive reviews. Really this stupidity needs to stop not all Wii owners are gaming idiots.
Let me be perfectly blunt you really did not think this statement through did you? Serious question did you stop and think, or did you just blindly go on the offensive to shift the subject out of console loyalty. Football games by their very nature can be geared towards multiple audiences. All you need to make the game casual friendly is retard the artificial intelligence, and whittle down the game book to all of twelve plays. No major game redesigns required. Just put a big shinny button that says easy play, and the casuals will know thats how they are supposed to play. While more experienced players can entertain themselves with more advanced game modes.
There is just no need for a football game that is only geared towards casual players, because it is such a simple matter to design a game that will appeal to everyone. The casual audience argument to justify every shitty game design choice is getting very tiresome. Are you implying that all Wii owners would be overwhelmed by actual options. I guess those sales figures for Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy, and Metroid Prime were just a mass delusion.
