Honestly I see Obama types more as Mac users/Sony or Nintendo users then PC people/360 fanboys. Remember what happened to MS the last time a Democrat was in the White house? They got taken to court and almost split up for their monopolistic practices.

Trust me, MS is pulling for McCain with all their might.

Let me take a wild stab at this:

1. You think the current infatuation with Barack Obama that large swaths of Europe and America suffer from also afflicts the Japanese.

2. You then assume that because everyone loves Barack Obama that this goodwill will extrend to America in general.

3. You finally assume that because of all this warmth directed towards Barack Obama, should he be elected, the United States will suddenly appreciate a great deal in the eyes of the world and that this goodwill also be transferred to American corporations and they may also experience a halo effect (ooh, how apt!)

Have I just about got it?

I don't know how you get from step 1 to step 3 from that, though.

YES!

Infact I am going to make a bold prediction now. After the election 360 sales will jump! I say this December 360 sales will be far higher than they have been this summer or even earlier in the year.

I'm willing to enter a ban bet on it infact.

Whatever perceptions the Japanese consumers have of MS will not change if Obama is elected.

To some extent, it does.

I don't know how you get from step 1 to step 3 from that, though.

Well, I wasn't trying to be terribly logical, so that might be where you're stumbling a bit (I'm trying to channel the mind of someone that's drank several cups of Obamade which isn't as easy as it may sound).

How about if Obama gets elected it'll have a negative effect? His socialization of every facet of American life will kill the economy, and kill the US gaming industry...And eventually kill MS's video game systems.
