Mass Effect series not exclusive to 360

Bioware CEO misquoted in interview (deliberatly misquoted)

http://www.360-gamer.com/

Bioware has denied that the Mass Effect series is to be exclusive to the 360, following reports from Australia suggesting that it was.

The internet was plunged into confusion last night after this report on XboxOz360 surfaced.

According to the report, Bioware CEO Ray Muzyka was said to have confirmed to Australian 360 Magazine that future instalments of the Mass Effect trilogy would indeed remain exclusive to the 360, during a recent EA press day.

Mass Effect proved to be rather popular when it was released on the 360 last year, netting some impressive review scores and enjoying strong sales.

A PC version followed a little while later, with speculation rife that the critically acclaimed series will make its way onto other platforms as well, following EA’s takeover of Bioware.

But before all you non-360 owners start getting up in arms about it, Bioware has denied that the story is true.

The developer has denied that Muzyka ever made such a statement, with XboxOz360 publically retracting any suggestion that he had.

So all’s well that ends well, it would seem. No indication has been made of when we can expect to see Mass Effect 2 (let alone the third in the trilogy), but it’ll probably be awesome when it does arrive.

would mass effect be a better choice to go multiplat or exclusive on 360?

after freeing the queen bug, and after geting an achievment for landing on an uncharted world. i traded it back in it was rubbish, the game in my opinion was chock full of holes - amoungst the worst frame rates, load times and texture loads and texture pop ins, in fact the cut scenes would finish even though the textures had not fully loaded.

way overated in my opinion, but to the orig question. do you belive it will be better for bioware to go multiplat or 360 only?

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

Well I have really enjoyed the game so far, and it has already not been exclusive to 360 with the PC version.

Mass Effect came out for 360 and PC. It's already multiplatform.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

It was never exclusive. I have Mass Effect, and I don't own a 360

It will never come to the Wii, but 2 will almost certainly come out on PS3 after a short while

It will be on the PS3 eventually, ala Bioshock, Oblivion, and RSV.

Well apparently some other people think that's what multiplat means as well.

But you say "exclusive to the 360," and yet here I sit with a PC version of Mass Effect, how could this happen?

It's already multiplatform,  you should just say "might come to PS3" or something like that.

So, does the slight possibility of the game's future release on PS3 make the game better? That's the point.

To be honest its the PC version that matters for this game. It was infinitely better on the PC then on the 360 (rented it when it first came out). IMO all Western action RPGs should be on the PC, thats right, I don't even want them PS3 exclusive. Consoles just don't handle games like KOTOR or Mass Effect nearly as well as the PC does.

I bet there are a lot of PC/360 owners who will buy the PC version now that they know its on the table instead of getting the 360 version when its released.
