George Lucas to Turn Star Wars Saga into 3D

ComingSoon.net caught up with DreamWorks Animations CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg on Tuesday and learned that George Lucas is looking to repurpose the six "Star Wars" episodes into 3D format.

Katzenberg told us that Lucas is very excited about it and that he's got the technical resources to pull it off. "He isn't going to put a product out, I think, that isn't anything other than first rate," Katzenberg said.

I don't get it. What's wrong? You didn't exactly explain why this is bad twesterm. I remember reading this in EW a few years back and was psyched. Is 3D a bad thing now?

This was announced a couple years ago, I was kinda excited about it.

I know George Lucas is whoring out these movies...but if he's gonna make a 3D version of Star Wars, I'm going to watch it....I pretty much have to.

So the other day on TV Star Wars Return of the Jedi was on. So I watched it till the end and this is the digital remaster whatever edition and at the end when he sees obi-wan, yoda, and his father it was replaced with Hayden Christensen that really pissed me off. I could understand some remaster stuff but f*** no don't replace that random dude with Hayden Christensen.

Why, it does make perfect sense. Did they replace obi-one as well? I like the way that he does add some stuff in (not the other guy shooting first.... that is just stupid) to stop plot holes etc and make them fit better together

I don't understand how having an old Anakin Skywalker is a plot hole though...Obi Wan was an old man as a ghost, Yoda was old, and Anakin...went back to his 20s? Bull.
