no one cares ,,cause every one knows he is wrong ,,,he is using games that were developed on 360 and ported to PS3 as reason behind his argument,which is waste of time to argure about.

when burnout paradise looks and runs better on PS3 is because is PS3 much more powerful or is it becasue it was developed on PS3 and ported to 360?

beside when ps3 has games like MGS and uncharted , we really don't need to argue about PS3's graphic capabilities(both games came out with in a year and half from PS3 launch)

xbox360=UE3,,that's it ,,different variation of same looking game

You compare games like Grid and GTA and ignore games like Burnout Paradise and Call of Duty 4. You focus on the games that were designed for the 360 and ported to the ps3, and ignore games that were developed simultaneously on both, or ported from the ps3 to the 360 (which admittedly are still few and far between). This is going to obviously skew your results in favor of the 360.

Why is it that the BEST LOOKING multiplat game (CoD4) looks identical on both platforms? Is it because the ps3 is weaker than the 360?

Why is it that the 360's exclusives often suffer from being sub-HD (NG2, Halo 3), or have framerate issues and texture pop-in (Mass Effect)? (The obvious exception being Gears, though it took Epic the same amount of development time to make Gears on the 360 as it took them to make UT3 on the ps3, and they themselves said that UT3 looks better. Take that as you will.)

Why is it that the ps3's biggest exclusives tend to look excellent without any of the aforementioned issues? Many sites have heralded Uncharted and MGS4 as being the best looking console games out, with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Ratchet & Clank getting the nod here and there as well, and they don't have any of these issues (though MGS4's resolution is a bit low at 1024x768). And don't forget that GT5P and R&C both run at a constant 60fps.

His main example was GTAIV, which was developed concurrently on both platforms?

lol,,,i think you need to get your facts right,,,GTA was developed on 360 and ported(a very good port)to PS3.

As for the no one care part,,,i m saying no one cares to technically prove him wrong,,,,,casue PS3 owner already can see what PS3 is capable of.

The 360 can't come anywhere near Killzone 2's graphics. All I need to know.

 uhh yea it can.... Just because a developer doesnt want to spend 4 years on graphics doesnt mean its not possible.

Gears 2 is looking amazing. And im still impressed by gears 1

Gears of War's swift development time is the exception, and by no means the rule.  Same goes for Killzone 2's lengthy development time.

Gears was announced at E305 and came out a year and a half later.  Uncharted was announced at E306 and came out...a year and a half later.  Though I believe that comparison is a bit unfair, given the fact that the development cycle of Uncharted included the creation of a whole engine, unlike the development cycle of Gears.

And yes, Killzone 2's development has been rather lengthy, but so was Halo 3's.  It was in development for three years, remember.

Btw, Killzone 2 hasn't been in development for four years.  It was announced at E305 to show off the ps3 (like a lot of games *cough*EightDays*), but they hadn't even begun working on the game yet.  They started production later on in the year, and didn't really begin full production until closer to Killzone: Liberation's release (it was released in November of 2006).  At MOST the game could've been in development three years, assuming they started when the trailer was released.

And do you, as a PS3 owner, believe it is capable of substantially more graphically than the Xbox 360, despite no supporting evidence existing?

Only time can tell,,,not me,,,we shall see in 2 years.

right now?no I think they are about the same with abit of edge to PS3 side on exclusives and abit of edge to the 360 side for the multiplatforms.so basically same from my point of view.

right on

how this thread got so big without being locked?

if you are talking of processing power.
ps3 > xbox360

if you are talking about ports.
if (xbox360 development first then ps3 port = true){
xbox360 > ps3
}
if (ps3 development first then xbox360 port=True){
ps3 > xbox360
}

but in the end its true you can make great games on the xbox360, but it no where near the ps3 can get.
anyone looking at both machines floating point calculation.

ports are ports, and almost always the port is inferior to the original.
unless they remake it.
