News: Nintendo Don't Know About Fatal Frame IV

Posted by Nathan Whincup - Jul 22nd 2008 20:00

Are you itching to get more news about a possible Western release for Fatal Frame IV? Maybe now would be the time to panic...

Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is a joint project between Nintendo, Tecmo and Grasshopper Manufacture (and Suda51). The fourth installment in the Japanese horror franchise - known as Project Zero in Europe - sees three girls investigating a seemingly empty mansion which was instrumental to their kidnap and imprisonment during a mysterious event which took place there 10 years ago.

It was rumoured that a localised demo of Fatal Frame IV (which is due to be released in Japan next Thursday) would appear at E3, but sadly it never materialised. Worryingly, Nintendo of America aren't even aware of the product, according to GoNintendo. At least this explains why the title wasn't at E3, but what does this mean for the future of the series in the West?

How could they not know about it? Hmm, I'll place my bet that it's still coming to therest of us. Why would they go Nintendo exclusive just to be released in Japan, in a smaller market?

Okami

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

Nintendo better bring that game to the West

So now that they are aware of it is there any chance of getting it translated?
