Here is one. 200 players online and it has been in it's 2nd beta since November. I guess I shouldn't expect you to really know anything about the 360's line-up after reading your sig though. So who is the fool now?

 

Are you in the beta? What's the game like? Can you show me a video showing off these 200 player battles?

I only ask because every video I find of Huxley makes it look either like Hellgate London with nice graphics (PvE parts) or like UT3. Nowhere can I find any actual information about these supposed 200 player battles (other than stuff like press releases and whatnot).

According to wikipedia, the 360 version of the game will support up to 60 vs. 60 players (120 in total). Still very impressive, but not quite as impressive as MAG.

(Note: the PC version will support up to 200 player battles.)

I'm not in the beta. The only beta I ever tried was for Halo 3 and that's because I was bored and I owened Crackdown. The game does look a lot like UT3 but that could be because it uses the Unreal engine. A lot of games that used the Unreal engine earlier on looked like Gears or UT3. IGN does more updates than anyone else on the game and they have also touted the 100 vs 100 battles. Although when playing against the AI it's only 64 players I believe...

To have all those withing a year of each other seems a bit unwise on the part of Sony, imo, but I guess it's all they could do given when each studio started development.

I think SOCOM will quickly become a niche for online gamers.

Once KZ2 is out, the R2 userbase will be more about the coop than the competetive multiplayer, which will be shared with KZ2 (both sound awesome, can't believe I am actually excited about multiplayer)

MAG has to be unique compared to R2 and KZ2 multiplayer wise, but I could easily see the competetive players going from R2+KZ2 to MAG+KZ2, because I think that MAG and R2 multiplayer is gonna be too close to eachother, and MAG will win over R2 because of its size.

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

Killzone and Resistance are kind of close to each other.

MAG not so close.

Is Socom confirmed by a certain date?

Was recently set back to this october I believe

I have never played planetside but I have been hearing this game will be similar to it, so my question is...Was planetside good? always wanted to try it but didn't have a good pc at the time it came out.
