No console is worth it for one game, but if you take into account the very nice list of PS3 exclusives coming up (as well as the fact all good 3rd party games are multiplat) you probably can find a few to buy..

LittleBigPlanent, Resistance 2 , SOCOM, MotorStorm, Infamous, Killzone 2, Heavy Rain...GT5P...its good to own a PS3., but not for one game.

Yes metal gear solid is a great game and if u beat it u can re play it and have fun and online mode and all of that. also u will have a blu ray player and all that jazz

Consoles owned: Game Cube, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3.

My prediction: NATAL WILL NOT help 360 sales. Maybe a 50-100k boost week 1, then a 30-70 k boost week 2, and back to the norm again after 3-5 weeks.

I suppose it would heavily depend on your taste. I wouldn't even consider getting a PS3 for MGS4... I'm however hoping money would fall out of the sky in time for me to buy a PS3 when Little big planet comes out...

 

Note :- it would have to be a LOT of money because I have other priorities than to invest in a console right now... ^^

If your a huge fan of Metal Gear series, then I would definitely pick it up.  It's worth it on so many levels, detail, game-play, story.

Yes, you should get one for MGS4, you won't be disappointed.  Of course, I would look forward to buying some other great games for it as well.  Don't buy one JUST for MGS4, that would be dumb.

its pointless buying a console just to play one game.

i advise buying a ps3, some very good titles already including mgs4

some of the psn titles are also superb i recomend pain its just so funny bashing about on that

many stunning titles are coming down the line, plus you will have chance to catch up on some gems released thus far

never buy a console for 1 game.

mgs4 for me, was absolutly amazing.
if you buy a ps3 you will have other games to play on it.

so if all you care about is mgs4, then no.
if you plan on also playing other games, then yes.
