Forums - Sony - When will MGS 3 hit 4 million?

Aj_habfan said:

It's not at 3.99

Sure about that?

EDIT - Oh, I see you edited your post

It's a little bit strange. On Japanese chart the game sold last week 869 units with LTD at 824,381 untis but on game page the total for Japan is 0.86 mln instead of 0.82.

In Others it sold 3,436 units last week. LTD for Others is 1,710,773 unit and it should be rounded to 1.72 mln in two weeks (thus total WW will be 4.00 mln). However in World chart it still will be below 4 mln for a while as it is at only 3,929,902. Apperently there is some inconsistency with American sales as well.

Sorry that I didnt make that clear : . I mean sold to customers (the way this site tracks sales). Not sold to retailers, but consumers/customers.

Oh well considering that all sales accuracy are probably at least 5% off anyways it's probably there in that too.

belive it or not i have not bought it yet, will but it tommorow, not had the money to buy it yet, if i get paid tommorow i wll get it

By the end of 2008. I expect a good size boost come this Holiday/Christmas time and I think it has sold more then 2.5 Million right now. (yes I believe VGC is undertracking it)

Also, when you include Subsistence, MGS3 sales are even higher

Maybe never, who knows?

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)
Nintendo ID: Mako91                  3DS code: 4167-4543-6089

soon.

If you include Subsistence it's already well past 4 million. :P

Though I wonder why this game never got a Greatest hits release. Flooding stores with new copies of the game under the "Greatest Hits" label when it hit $19.99 would've helped, for sure.

Well.. maybe now?

The game is pretty old so its probably undertracked with a couple of thousand copies ...
