Forums - Nintendo - official nintendo magazine hints at 2 big adventure games for the wii

Was reading through this months edition of onm again and i noticed in  the coming next month section it said that they're going to have the scoop on 2 big action/adventure titles for the wii.

Obviously the first time i read that i thought we'd hear about these games at e3 but we heard nothing although it doesn't say they'd be nintendo 1st party  ip's but then what big 3rd party ip's were announced that they could get the "scoop" on. They've already covered madworld and fatal frame. I'm thinking maybe the conduit will be one but what's the other. Any thoughts.

Anyway the issue goes on sale the 1st august but i sometimes recieve it early as do a lot of people who subscribe so maybe we'll find out before then.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

just got the mag and the exact line was "EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: we've got the scoop on two brand new wii action games!".

Bare in mind this is the magazine that got the scoop on animal crossing city folk 3 weeks before it was announced at e308 so it could be something big and core. I hope it aint that sonic black knight malarkey though, that just looks terrible.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

It can't be Sonic, since that was previewed in Nintendo Power. That would sort of defeat the "exclusive" remark.

I suspect one will be Kid Icarus, and the other might be something we don't know about yet.

It has to be new games. I hope one of them is a 2d metroid for the ds releasing Q1 or anytime in 2009. I wouldn't mind 2010, but that is would be too far away for nintendo. Especially with their new policy about only showing games when playable. Maybe they could just announce it, and not show anything. I have to stop getting my hopes up. By the time I will get a 2d metroid I would probably be out of school.

Atleast Europe gets to know about the game first, that's something, right?

I am going to guess Kid Icarus and Retroid™ (8/16-bit/new side scrolling Retro-Metroid)
