There have been many great divides in history.

Red State-Blue State.

Red Wine-White Wine.

Less Filing-Tastes Great.

It's called "football"-It's called "soccer"

But now we seem to be displaying a new one.

SD Console (Wii)-HD console (PS3/X360)

With market share nearing parity between the two groups, it appears that those who have one type of console are making it their business to deride the other type of console.  Minor points are being made into major threads. And input that serves only not to education but to inflame (or insult) is becoming more common place.

Now I am not saying that people who don't own a console should not comment on it. I do not want to limit people's speech. I just think that a few people from both camps (who shall remain nameless) need to better think through their comments ... and if they cannot make reasoned, intelligent comments, then maybe they should move on to the next post.

HD doesn't matter to me (besides when in 10 years we will all be playing games on autostereoscopic WOWvx displays HD is gonna seem pretty crap) I play my Snes on a HD TV, no difference to me, I play the game not the definition of the TV.

Still, we are going to see extremist people for both sides, and having two or the three consoles doesn´t make you unbiased...

Is a good idea to suggests them to saty away, but you know how it is, some people need to grow up first, other won´t leave enve if they have grow up... etc, the best that you can do is ask for a ignore button...

soccer actuall has only a market share of about 5% in the world....

The console wars are nothing new, I'm afraid (check out Google Groups' listings on the topic from the early 90's, for instance). As long as there is an internet, there'll be divisions. Just don't let it get to you, and things become more enjoyable.

And for the record, Tastes Great, Red Wine, "Soccer", and Han Shot First.

Soccer is the single biggest sport GLOBALLY while only Americans play football. Educate yourself. Soccer has a far greater global outreach.
