I may have to take a look at this movie now, seen as you're all making such a fuss over it.

Do so. the short skit they do before the movie is also great, some of the best pratfall I've seen since 3 stooges(possibly even better)
Wall E itself has incredible storytelling and humor that pulls on some of the best stuff I've seen from the charlie chaplin era. I seriously can't wait to watch it with my fiance.

Seppukuties is like LBP Lite, on crack. Play it already!

Currently wrapped up in: Half Life, Portal, and User Created Source Mods

Here comes the controversy:
Wall-E>>>>>>>>>Dark Knght.
It deserves to make lots of cash.

Revival!

OK, new Wall-e numbers are WAY nicer!
$403,898,090, which puts it ahead of Toy Story and A bug's life, with Toy Story 2 and Cars within reach, apparently.
I guess its had a really staggered opening, considering how long it has taken for these new numbers to show up.

Okami

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

That's not controversial. Dark Knight was a great movie thanks to Heath, but you can't ignore the fact that it was an overcomplicated thematically muddled mess.

If you didn't love Wall-E, you have no heart!

Pixar's best by far.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Yeah the release dates were stagnant. I think it released rather recently in some European Countries, for instance I believe I read somewhere that it was to come out between Aug 31st and now in Deutschland. Does anyone have confirmation on this?

Also, I recently took my young nephews to go see it and they liked it, so I was happy with that.

Wall-E already has an international gross of 53m US$: http://www.boxofficeguru.com/intl.htm

It opened in UK only two days ago, France opening will be on July 30th, Germany Sep. 25th. To name just a few.

Ratatouille's international gross was way higher than the domestic one: http://www.boxofficeguru.com/intlarch5.htm

Title International Domestic Worldwide % Foreign % Domestic
Ratatouille  415.0m 206.4m 621.4m 66.8% 33.2%

I have a feeling it will be the same with Wall-E.

Good site!  I haven't seen that one before and I really like it.  BoxOfficeMojo can be a bunch of bitches and IMDB doesn't arrange its international stuff that well.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. The sites I visit for Movie grosses are:

1) The Numbers - http://www.the-numbers.com/
2) Box Office Mojo - http://www.boxofficemojo.com/

Both have record counts, and Box Office Mojo has features where they compare films that are similar/from the same studio. Like this: http://boxofficemojo.com/franchises/chart/?id=pixar.htm

It should do better internationally, all Pixar films usually do.
